Thank you for visiting my webpage and I hope to see you soon at From the Heart! I spent the last 25 years in the corporate world working in medical sales and I've lived in Laurel the same length of time.
About four years ago I had a life altering experience: I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Although the outcome was very good, that experience changed me. I started to think more about how I wanted to live my life, and less about just making a good living because none of us knows what the future holds.
My two dogs are such a large part of my life and I have always been "Aunt Maria" to so many other dogs. As I considered what I really wanted to do with my life, I realized how many lessons I learned from my dogs. Like living in the moment. Loving unconditionally. Enjoying the simple pleasures. And doing what you love without fear.
I just knew that I wanted to run my own doggie daycare and spend my days in the company of dogs and the fantastic people they own. And I could not help but notice the lack of convenient doggie daycares in the Laurel area. As luck would have it, I was laid off in November 2009 and I have never looked back. This has been a fantastic journey and I know the best is yet to come!
