One of our goals at From the Heart Doggie Daycare, LLC is to share information with dog owners that will help them enable their dogs to live life to the fullest. Acupuncture is known to help a wide variety of dog health problems, but when it comes to improving quality of life, acupuncture can make a tremendous difference in pain management.
- Every breed of dog is susceptible to arthritis as part of the aging process
- Many medications used for pain management are not well tolerated by dogs
- If your dog has kidney issues, he/she may not be able to take some medications
- Acupuncture may be the alternative for you
We are not suggesting that acupuncture should replace veterinary care. In fact, we encourage you to discuss any outside treatments with your vet. And we also want you to know that you will need to be present with your dog during any acupuncture treatment.
As a personal testimonial, I will tell you that both of my schnauzers have enjoyed and benefited from acupuncture treatments. Yes, they enjoyed them and there was no pain involved at all. I also have had the same experience myself.
