BIG and small, love them all! Teaching Kids Responsible Dog Ownership The bond between child and dog is one of the most meaningful relationships your child will have. A child with a dog in his or her life experiences the meaning of unconditional love, loyalty, and sweet affection. Dog ownership is also an opportunity for your child to learn responsibility, stewardship, and good citizenship. From the Heart Doggie Daycare invites you to enroll your child in a two part course on responsible dog ownership. It is our honor and our joy to teach your children, through their relationship with dogs, principles that will serve as guideposts throughout their life. Classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 11:00. Part 1 Shelter: making your home safe for your dog, bedding, supplies, outdoor space Grooming: Toenails, teeth, hair, ears, how often, what to look for, tools to use Love and Fun: How to bond with your dog, games to play, toys, socialization Part 2 Health: food, vaccinations, good/bad people food, spay/neuter importance, dentals, checkups, flea/tick protection Exercise: how to walk your dog, where to walk your dog, correct gear, cleaning up, good citizenship, dog park etiquette Classes begin July 23rd.
