We have a new talent on board at From the Heart and her name is Colleen Klungness. Colleen is an art student at Howard County Community College. She has been a resident of Columbia, MD for eight years but grew up in Hawaii.

Colleen has been drawing all of her life and her dream is to become a comic book artist and pursue a career in freelance illustrating. We are hoping to combine Colleen's love for art with your love for your pets in the form of a beautiful, one-of-a-kind painted portrait or cartoon.

The process could not be more simple. Just bring in some photographs of your pets that you like. Talk to Colleen a little bit about your pet's personality, quirks, interests, etc. Let her know what kind of background you would like for the portrait, if any. And then Colleen will get to work on your masterpiece!
